| About me: |
 |
I grew up in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. I've always been fascinated with art and drawing from a very young age. From as long as I can remember, I've wanted to be a cartoonist or illustrator. As soon as I discovered computers, I was immediately interested, and I began to realize the ability to bridge the connection between it and art.
I began web site design as a hobby about ten years ago, when I created my first one, bringing my other passion (ice hockey goaltending) to the internet.
I began to study office management and technology which incorporated elements of design and web sites, while at the same time giving me experience with business management, and some computer sciences. After graduation I really wanted to focus on studying multimedia design and computer graphics in general, I eventually wound up in the United States getting a degree in computer graphics before returning home to Montreal. During my experiences in the U.S. I really fell in love with 3D, when I began to use Maya.
I'm constantly trying to improve and develop my 3D skills, whether it be modeling, animation, texturing, and anything in between. I am always eager to learn and broaden my skill-set. I enjoy the challenges associated with 3D, and I enjoy the satisfaction of finishing a piece of work. The possibilities are truly endless, how can you not get excited just thinking about it?!
My dream is to work professionally in the fast paced computer graphics industry.

| Other Interests: |
 |
Growing up in Montreal has definitely had an influence on my interests, and I'm sure it's so surprise when I tell you that I'm an ice hockey fan, and an even bigger fan of the goaltending position associated with it. I've been a goaltender since I was 14 years old, and even had the privilege to play varsity for my college. What a great experience.
Related to this, I'm also very interested in goaltender masks and the designs painted on each one. I enjoy designing masks and even had the privilege to paint my own as well as one for my friend. I'd love to be able to design and paint masks in my spare time, when I'm not on the ice stopping pucks or creating 3D.
I also enjoy video games. Although my interest has shifted from pure enjoyment, I now find myself, unconsciously, taking each aspect of the models apart, bit by bit, figuring out how they made them. One of my favourite parts about games is the final and concept art that comes along with it. I'm especially fond of the medieval and fantasy genres. |
