Welcome Goaltenders

Goaltender Side Image

Welcome to my page dedicated to all those men and women out there behind the mask! It has been said time after time, that there is no other position in sports today like the ice hockey goaltender. While I haven't personally played every position in sports, I have had the pleasure to lace up my skates and stand my ground, defending my net. There is no denying that being a goalie takes a very special individual, for no other position requires so much mental prowess.

Goaltenders have been known to be the sole reason for a teams success, as well as the sole reason for a defeat. What really matters in either situation, is how each game (win, loss, or tie) effects the goaltender in the future. Goalies can't stop every goal from being scored, the main thing goalies must do is to try to learn from every goal, save, and situation that presents itself. That is what makes a great goaltender.

Some people say that goalies are crazy for standing infront of a speeding peice of rubber, slashing sticks, and slicing skates. I think it's the rest of the players who are the crazy ones! At least goaltenders dress for the punishment they must endure. On top of that, goaltending equipment today is so protective that the only thing on the goaltenders mind should be "I love being a goalie".

I hope you all enjoy the goaltending information provided on this page, and find it useful. Should you have a question, comment, or suggestion, please feel free to contact me, and I'll try my best to get back to you as soon as possible.
